In my opinion any decisions made for the child goes deeper than what the eye can see. There are several people involved in a childs life and more importantly its all about the child's welfare as well the childs carers. Whilst the child cannot speak for themselves, decisions made for them can effect them for the rest of their life. After decisions are made they should follow up the case to see if that decision was the right decision and not just leave that child to cope with a good/bad decision. These decisions are not always the right decisions for that child, each child is different, and they need to get to know that child and how that child is coping if their situation has been changed. This decision should be an informed decision with input from everyone that comes into contact with the child ie friends, family, school or medical professionals etc. It needs to be monitored especially when there is a change of circumstances for that child to see how that child copes with the changes in their life and whether that decision was the right one and if not, then they should reconsider or try other options.
